"Hunts are still hunting, so we're still stopping them" |
Who are we?
Established in 2016, North East Hunt Monitors are an active voluntary group in The North East of England. We are an independent, non profit, self funding group who spend our spare time protecting wildlife. We are out multiple times a week throughout the Cub Hunting and Fox Hunting seasons to ensure our wildlife is protected and The Hunting Act (2004) is upheld.
|
North East Hunt Monitors utilise non-violent direct action techniques to both document and evidence the crimes hunt groups commit and protect the lives of all wildlife. Using this approach has, and continues to, save many lives whilst never causing harm or injury to any member of the hunt or their supporters. Sadly the same cannot be said for our volunteers who face abuse, threats and have been subject to physical violence resulting in actual bodily harm.
Despite this our passionate volunteers continue to be the last line of defence for wildlife from local hunts. |
Wanted- any information on hunts- meet places, routes, businesses that support hunting, dates and times, shoots, locations of snares and traps, suspected dig out locations of foxes or badgers... please get in touch!
